A. Linwood Holton, Jr., Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1970 to 1974 is interviewed by Paulina Vaca and Paul Koda of the George Mason University Oral History Program. This interview was originally captured using an audio cassette tape recorder on April 6, 2002 at George Mason University. In this interview, Governor Holton details the events surrounding George Mason University becoming an independent institution on April 7, 1972 and the role he played.
